This might be my longest time in between posts (last one Feb 16, oops 🥴). I truly love writing these but the usual imposter syndrome/general life got in the way. I’ve parked up at a local cafe, AirPods in and I’ve told myself we’re sending one out before March ends!
Here’s 10 things I’ve loved lately:
I recently went away for a friend’s wedding to Bawley Point and had what I would argue was one of the best pre-wedding morning itineraries I’ve ever had. Up at 7am with my best friend for a 12km run (part of my half marathon training plan); the whole run was shaded, pretty flat and easy to navigate (which for two navigationally challenged girls was essential). Finished at the local cafe, met the boys, grabbed some iced lattes, and wandered down to the beach where we jumped off the jetty and swam in turquoise blue water. We lay on the rocks and it was that perfect ‘defrosting’ level of sun and still early enough not to worry about sunscreen. This was followed by brunch, a few mimosas while getting ready and then a truly magical wedding! 12/10 day.

As usual, any and all photos I get from my Dad about his latest homegrown and homemade bits. The latest was this loaf of bread cooked in a camp oven. Now I know where my love of butter comes from…

This delicious breakfast I’ve made twice now: toast, avocado, cottage cheese, tomato and parsley/basil with flaky sea sealt

I am reading and loving Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, it took me a while to get into as I found I wasn’t reaching for it but it’s actually not as heavy/depressing as I originally thought. Not finished yet but (late to the party) already highly, highly recommend.
Ok hear me out but… Lorna Jane Activewear. They’ve had some kind of rebrand/glow up and I have been loving their stuff. They had an online warehouse sale and I got 5 pieces for for less than $350! Their ‘Amy’ shorts are actually long enough (but not too long) that I can run in them and they don’t ride up. Also finally caved (2 years later) to flared leggings and don’t understand why I didn’t do it sooner, obsessed.
A gorgeous yet very rainy weekend which I believe was perfectly spent whilst my boyfriend was away:
Friday night: two beers at the pub after work with the boys, the evening eating sushi, watching netflix and researching upcoming holidays
Saturday morning: early run with a friend, brunch with some other friends, then 12.30pm-5.30pm in bed whilst it was raining outside, reading and watching a movie. Then dinner at my friends where the 5 of us sat with red wines on the balcony as the sun set
Sunday: sleep in, solo coffee and substacking, met a friend for another coffee at this cute little deli where we sat in the sun and then the afternoon at home making chicken pie!
The fun of receiving a big bouquet of flowers for my birthday and then slowly cutting down, chucking out, re-arranging and restyling as time goes on:

A new TV show called Optics which I’m watching on ABC iView about a PR agency set in Australia - easy and funny watch! Their media and social commentary actually hits.
The impeccable late night snack of pork gyozas with mayo and soy sauce delivered to me in bed when I got home from drinks.
Knitting with the girls; we’re all making red cardigans! Fills my creativity and social cup so much 🫶
Thanks for reading.
See you in the next one 💘
I’m stealing that knitting idea! Matching cardigans and an excuse to get together in someone’s home regularly and yap 🥰
Bawley! So close to my family's caravan at Kioloa <3 So gorgeous down there. Also LOVED Pachinko.
